LOBBY ART

A lobby is the first thing a guest, a client or a tenant sees. Most lobbies settle for abstract sculpture or a generic canvas. We think you can do better than that.

We've been commissioned to make statement pieces for hotel lobbies, commercial receptions and public foyers — pieces that work as art but also say something specific about where you are and what you do. The Indigo Hotel in Clerkenwell came to us for a 3D cityscape of the neighbourhood surrounding the hotel, with the hotel itself picked out in colour. Guests standing in the lobby can see exactly where they are in the city. It's a conversation piece that doubles as a work of art.

For a commercial property company we produced an extended version of our London cityscape with every building they own and manage highlighted in a different colour. It sits in their reception and tells the story of their portfolio at a glance.

We build our cityscapes from satellite data, which we can source for most cities worldwide. We tidy the data, add any buildings constructed since the last satellite sweep, 3D print the map, and finish it by hand. Individual buildings can be coloured or highlighted. Street names can be laser cut into the base at 1:1000 scale. The finished piece can be wall-mounted or freestanding.

Cityscapes are our most popular lobby commission but they're not the only option. We've made dioramas, architectural models and sculptural foyer pieces — including a 4x2 metre piece shipped from our London studio to Doha. If you have a space to fill and an idea in mind, get in touch here and we'll tell you what's possible.
