This is the Paris Arc de Triomphe Cityscape at twice the scale. The area is identical — the Place Charles de Gaulle with its twelve radiating boulevards, the Arc de Triomphe at the centre, the Champs-Élysées cutting southeast through the frame. But at 1:2500 Haussmann's geometry becomes something else entirely. The precision of the radial plan — every boulevard the same width, every block the same height, every rond-point perfectly resolved — is visible in a level of detail that makes the sheer ambition of the Second Empire redesign impossible to miss.

Paris was always meant to be looked at from above. At this scale you finally get to do it properly.
